About Stewart & Sundell Concrete

Delbert Stewart, known as Deb, was a farmer and teacher in Fallon, Nevada, until 1961, when he moved to Las Vegas and began working with concrete. Seven years later, he was ready to go into business placing curbs and gutters.

In 1968, Delbert Stewart and his brothers, Mark and Dick, started General Concrete, a concrete placement company in Las Vegas, Nevada. The impressive service and workmanship we're known for started here.

The Stewart children started working for the company at the age of 12 and grew to love concrete construction as a way of life. When the 3 brothers retired in 1988, Ken, Delbert's only son, Georgia, his oldest daughter, and Kris Sundell, his son-in-law, took over the company under a new name: Stewart & Sundell Concrete. On March 1, 1988, the doors opened for business with  a curb machine, 2 loaders, and about 40 employees, ready to take slipforming and concrete to another level.

Stewart & Sundell Concrete has grown along with the Greater Las Vegas Area and today operates between 75 to 100 employees and operates 3 curb machines and 10 loaders. Now under the leadership of Kris Sundell, with sons Bryan and Peter, we continue our tradition of superior quality and service.
